Here are the things needed:
- a miniDV Camcorder.
- a PC with IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port, running Windows 2000 or
Windows XP, enough free hard disk space.
- an IEEE 1394 cable.
- Quick DVD Creator
Step 1, Connect an IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable to miniDV Camcorder and your
PC's IEEE1394 Port.

(Connect the IEEE 1394(Firewire) cable to
your PC and miniDV camcorder.)

(Connect the IEEE 1394(Firewire) cable to
your Laptop & Notebook computer and miniDV camcorder.)
Connect an IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable to your miniDV
camcorder. Turn on your camcorder and switch the mode to VCR mode.
Connect the other end of the IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable to
your PC's IEEE 1394 port. (If your PC does not have IEEE 1394 port, you will need to
purchase and install an IEEE 1394 card on your PC.)
Step 2, Run Quick
DVD Creator and capture the video from your miniDV camcorder

Click 'Digital Camcorder to DVD' button to
capture the video from your miniDV camcorder.

Use the VCR Control buttons control your
camcorder. You can play, pause, stop, forward, rewind your tape. If you want to transfer a
whole tape, click the 'Rewind'button to rewind the tape to its beginning.
Then, click 'Capture and Create DVD' button to start
transferring the miniDV tape into DVD video and you can also click 'Capture to Video
File' button to transfer your miniDV tape to video files for editing or burning next time.

Now the capture begins. If you want to stop, click the Stop
Capture button.

After the transferring, Quick DVD Creator will start
encoding your DV video for burning. You can click Stop encoding button to cancel the
burning.
Step 3, Burn the
DVD.

Quick DVD Creator has finished preparing the DVD video, now
it's time to burn your DVD disc.
Before you burn the disc, you can use a DVD player software to examine the DVD video
created by Quick DVD Creator. The DVD video is stored under c:\TempDVD\DVD\VIDEO_TS
folder.
Now you can insert a blank DVD-R/+R disc in your DVD burner now and click "Yes"
to continue.
If you want to burn this DVD disc later, you can click "No" button now and quit
Quick DVD Creator. The DVD video is stored under C:\TempDVD\DVD\VIDEO_TS folder. You can
burn it later using Quick DVD Creator and follow 'How to burn Disk
Image/ DVD Video Folder to DVD disc?'

Insert a DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW disc, just click 'Burn DVD' and
wait Quick DVD Creator finish the burning job. you can also click the 'Save as ISO' button
to save your DVD Video Files to a standard ISO disk image and burn it later using Quick
DVD Creator and follow 'How to burn Disk Image/ DVD Video Folder to
DVD disc?'
And that's it! When the burning is finished, you can play your newly made DVD in your DVD
player and watch the movie on TV.
